Light extension wires and terminal block extenders (LOOX4)
Extension wires are used only when lights need to be distanced farther away from the LED power driver. Some kitchens or other applications may have a long run of lights. And the pre-attached 79" light leads are not always enough. Adding 20, 39, or 79", or even doubling up on some cables gives you more reach. We have also heard stories about halogen lights with the transformers being mounted in the basement or attic. Those required extension wires when the lights are positioned in the kitchen. LED light systems are set up similar to older low voltage halogens. Your LED power driver powers individual lights attached to it that spoke out in one direction or a couple of directions.
The two types of terminal block extenders turn one port on the older Loox LED drivers, or one port on the Loox5 distributors into 4 or 6 ports. It is the way to expand the number of connected lights to a driver WITHOUT exceeding the maximum wattage of a driver. For example, if you would like to use 7 of the 3-watt LED lights, that is 21 watts. You CANNOT use the 20 watt driver, that exceeds its capacity. You could use two of the 20 watt drivers and split your lights and still control them together by plugging the drivers into the same outlet. Or you could use one 40 watt driver and a terminal block extender and then have all 7 lights on one driver. If you wanted to use two of the terminal block extenders on the 40 watt driver, you could connect up to 13 of a 3-watt LED to the driver. Two 6-way extenders would create 16 total ports on your set up. But you have to stay under the maximum wattage load of the driver.
The 4-port daisy extender is like a combination extra extension wires and 4-port splitter. Ideal for long island cabinets where you need to reach way down away from the position of the LED driver. It gives you a long extension first, then allows you to space out four lights in the down line. Convenient for larger size areas. Even for built in entertainment centers in your living room. Sometimes you are mounting lights across a 12 to 20 foot wall.
We added a blog article on how and when to use the terminal block extenders. Check it out.
Below are the older Loox4 12V and 24V choices. Notice the orange and green color coding to keep things straight with the drivers and lights. (Quantities remaining are displayed. When gone, you can use Loox5 accessories and two adapters if needed for your set up.) That may seem complicated, so we do welcome phone calls to explain it when you need help.

Ordering Notes:
These are the older Loox4 version accessories. (orange and lighter green connectors)
For most in home or office application where you use 2 to 6 lights quite commonly, these accessories are seldom required. Sometimes an extension wire may be required when restrictions are necessary for the placement of the LED power driver. So order as you believe you will need them. Do note, a straight line approach may not be doable. You might have to go up and over and over again to hide a wire. So when unsure of what length of wire you may need, opt for a longer length and fold up the rest if you have extra.
As for the terminal block extenders, quite a useful gadget when you are planning 7 or more lights on one driver. You can use multiple terminal block extenders on one driver or distributor. For example, on the 24V 90 watt driver, very possible that you might have 3 or 4 terminal block extenders, especially when dimming all lights and you want everything controlled together. The 6-port terminal block extender has a modest lead wire on it. If you wanted to precede it with an extension cable to move it farther away, you can. All the male-female ports connect to each other quite easily. When using with the Loox5 distributors, make sure you select the distributor with the older Loox ports. Or else you will be using the adapters shown on those pages.
