Wood Stemware Glass Holders
Omega-National section index
Omega-National wood stemware glass holders
These are very nice in a kitchen and very popular. Most everyone has wine glasses at home. And many of us get a little annoyed when having to set them inside a cabinet. They are generally top heavy and easy to knock over. And if that is the only place you have to store them, then that is what you do. But, if you have a place in your kitchen to add a hanging stemware holder, you can free up some shelf space in a cabinet. And show off your wine glasses. Some wine glasses are really nice, and they sound cool too when you grab one and it tings into another. Stemware holders can be mounted right below wine rack lattice and wine bottle racks as you will see in many of the pictures below. These are a very decorative addition to a kitchen.
About the stemware holders
- Stemware holders come pre-assembled in 4-slot, 7-slot, or 8-slot units.
- They are approx. 11-1/2" deep, meant to fit under 12" deep upper cabinets.
- 4-slot are 18" wide, 7-slot are 30" wide, 8-slot are 36" wide.
- They can be cut down in width, although a bit tricky and would require some re-assembly and care in not damaging them.
- You should not attempt to cut them down in depth, unless just shaving a spec off.
- Racks are assembled with staples and light glue, so they are presumed that you will not be disassembling them.
- All are fine sanded and ready for you to finish, you can clear coat, stain, glaze, or paint them.
- Available in oak, maple, cherry, and hickory.
- Option of making your own custom size racks with L & T rails sold separately. Info much lower on page.
We offer the assembled racks in 3 sizes. If these sizes do not fit your entire width, you may need to mask off the ends with some decorative molding. If they are too long, there is a chance that you can alter their width, but that should be done only by experienced woodworkers. See much lower on the page for the L and T rails sold individually so you can make your own size racks.
About suspending stemware holders with chains over islands or in commercial applications. It can be done, but you will have no backside. Better figure out a plan not to push glasses out the opposite side and onto the floor. If you want access from both sides, you will always need to be careful. If just one side, you could add a blocker to the back side. Suspended mounting is not common, but we have seen it done.
Below, we will show them by size. First the 4-slot, then the 7-slot, and last the 8-slot.

Welcome to the Make Your Own Stemware Holder section of our program
If you need to or want to make your own, individual L and T rail moldings are available. You will need to find your own cross rails to mount the L & T moldings to. Any 3/4" by 3/4" or 1/2" x 3/4" Maple, Red Oak, Cherry, or Hickory strips will work. Other wood species could blend such as Birch or Aspen. Hardwood choices are generally better to use. Larger cross rail pieces can be used also, and would be advised if you are planning a really large rack.
- You will need at least one of the L-shaped moldings and depending upon the depth and width of your stemware holder, calculate the appropriate number of T-shaped moldings.
- Note how many cuts you can get out of each 62" long piece, accounting for saw kerf too.
- Some long slender one-slot applications can use 2 L-rails.
- Making your own does not restrict you to width or depth limits.
- Rails can be spaced farther apart too for larger wine glass bases, or goblet size glasses.
- Making your own is ideal for restuarant applications where larger racks are needed.

Ordering Notes:
Maple, Oak, Cherry, and Hickory stemware holders are stocked in all 3 sizes and can ship right away. Direct ships are possible also. We usually keep a few of each on hand. Sometimes just one or two on the Hickory wood.
Maple, Cherry, and Oak stemware L & T rails are stocked and can ship right away.
Hickory is ordered as requested. General lead time on hickory is 10 to 15 business days for us to receive it. But, we will have Hickory from time to time as we have to order it in full or half box quantities. So when we have leftovers, we may have some. But hickory is not requested very often. Maple and Oak are the most popular. Oak can often be used in lieu of Hickory since they are somewhat similar.
Shipping Note:
When ordering many L or T rails, we generally will ship them in their full length of 62". UPS does have an "extra long box fee," any box over 48" long. So shipping costs on them is a little more than other products. If you are ordering them with say some wine rack lattice, we cannot combine those in the same box. The lattice is flat and large in two directions, the rails are very long. So when ordered with other Omega-National items, they will ship in their own box. EXCEPT: If you order just a few rail pieces and would like us to place 1 cut in each at a designated measurement of your choice to get the overall lengths of each of the two pieces under 40", we can, thus saving you on the dreaded extra long box fee. And sometimes as two smaller pieces, we can fit them in with lattice, plate displays, or bottle racks and ship in the same box, thus saving you on a second shipping charge. We would have just a small $5 cutting fee (per order, not piece) to make up for our time. But that $5 could save you at least $21 on the extended length fee, and potentially a second shipping charge. So plan your measurement with a little wiggle room. If you are going to use the pieces in 12" depths, tell us to cut it at 24-1/2". Gives you room to square up all ends the way you want. If you have a 15-1/2" depth planned, tell us to cut at 31-1/2". We are not going to cut them dead center because that could create waste, and we want you to get the maximum use out of the 62".
And when shipping Internationally, 62" long in a box most likely 65 to 66" long does not always travel well. If you want us to ship them, we can, and we will insure them. But if any damage occurs, it will be up to you to fight with the delivery agent for reimbursement. We cannot file foreign damage claims, because most are attempted to be quashed. We just do not have the energy to deal with them only to lose. You stand a better chance of winning on the receiving end because you have the product to show them. Anyhow, on internationally shipped orders, if you would like us to put 1 cut in each piece to make two shorter pieces, they will travel well. If just a few pieces, it would just be our normal $5 fee. If a heck of a lot of pieces, we may have to charge $10 or $12 for the cutting depending upon how much time is put into it. Shorter pieces have an extreme advantage of arriving more safely. So we will ship internationally, this goes for most all of our products. And we will work toward a safe delivery in your country. Some communication back and forth via e-mail is the best way.
AND WHEN requesting that one-cut in the longer rails when ordering on-line, there are two comments fields within our cart ordering process that you can add notes to.
