Rock Solid shower corner shelves made from Solid Surface Materials

Fantastic options for functional bathroom storage space, specifically for your tub or shower. And multiple size options to suit your needs. The Solid Surface corner shelves from Rock Solid can be used as soap dishes, shampoo bottle holders, or just general shelves for body wash, sponges, razors, or whatever else you want to put on them. The smallest is 5", which is 5" on the radius measurement, or 5" on the side measurement for the triangular shape. Then there are 8", 10", and 12" sizes. Most large ceramic corner shelves are approx. 7" in size. So these Solid Surface shelves offer you much more stacking space.

And of course you can use more than one per corner. Many people will create their own corner shower caddies by using two or three shelves in the same corner. And you could stage them by using a smaller shelf on top, and larger shelves below. This can allow you to designate what goes on what shelf. Corner shelves do come in arch front or fully triangular. There are many color photos below and black and white spec diagrams to help you with your choices. And you can choose between smooth face or grooved top. The grooved topped shelves allow for water drainage and a lift to bars of soap to keep them from getting mushy. So overall, there are 13 choices below, all available in several hundred potential colors. That is a lot of choices.

Foot supports?
We are asked quite often if corner shelves can be used for low mount foot rests. Yes and no. If thinking of using them for a foot rest for ease in shaving your legs, we would suggest slotting them into the surface that you are mounting them on for a stronger mount, kind of creating a bracket support along both sides. If just glued onto the surface, as you would normally do for higher mounted shelves that might hold 5 to 15 pounds at the most, you could run the risk of dislodging them if too much pressure is pushed upon them. They are not designed to hold full body weight. You cannot use them as step ladders. But as a balancing rest, this can be done when taking proper mounting precautions. It would be advisable to also have a non-slip surface under the foot that remains on the shower floor or tub surface. You would not want to lose your balance and slip forward or backward.

We are also asked if they can be used as shower seats. With waterproof brackets holding them in place, the 12" shelves could be used as seats, though it would be a small seat. If you need a larger rectangular piece of Corian or Wilsonart cut and polished to use as a seat, tell us what you would like. We can ask Rock Solid if they can do it.
