Loox5 LED model 3094 24 volt recessed or surface mounted lights
Model 2094 is the 12 volt version is discontinued. Yet model 3094 is the 24 volt version and readily available. You can recess mount or surface mount them with the optional surface mount rings. The 24v come in 5 finishes each, and in 4 kelvin ratings each. 2700K and 3000K are considered warm white lights. 4000K and 5000K are cool white lights. This is the color of the light output, warmer or cooler. Each light is only 2.5 watts, extremely energy efficient with a nice lumen output.
The 24v lights are fantastic for under cabinet lighting in your kitchen, bathrooms, or even living room displays. They recess mount into a 2-5/16" hole. That is just over 2-1/4". So do note, if you have old lights that you are replacing, and if they were recessed mounted, MEASURE YOUR HOLE DIAMETER TWICE. There was a very popular halogen size of 2-1/8". You ARE NOT going to squeeze a light requiring a 2-5/16" dia. hole into a 2-1/8" hole. That will not work. You can however, most likely increase the diameter of your hole to make this light work if that is your only option.
The Loox5 3094 lights are great for in or under kitchen cabinets, in furniture, and many other applications. They do operate from the Loox5 24 volt LED power drivers and your choice of Loox5 distributor. They are very economically priced and packaged as recessed lights. The lights can be surface mounted in all 5 finishes with the optional surface mount rings, shown lower on this page.
The lens is frosted and the casing is all METAL, not plastic. The front decor ring and back metal casing are fused as one piece. Nothing is designed to come apart on this light. So for some of you familiar with older style halogen lights dropping their decor rings onto the counter top or floor, this will not happen with this light.
The back of the light has 2 friction fit clips. They are pre-set to fit into a 2-5/16" diameter hole. They can compress just a tiny bit more. So the light can fit into a 2-1/4" hole if needed. But you will not be able to squeeze it into that popular 2-1/8" hole. We measured it. If the two friction fit clips were unscrewed and removed, the casing of the light does measure 2-1/8". Thus it could push into a 2-1/8" hole. BUT, what holds it in place without the friction fit clips? AND, yes, take note of this: the casing would be CRAMMED into a 2-1/8" hole with no breathing space around it. This might damage the light if pushed in crookedly. The 3094 light is designed for a 2-5/16" hole and can work in a 2-1/4" hole. It could work in a 2-3/8" hole also if you want to pull the friction fit clips outward a little before mounting it. (We are just emphasizing this because we get a lot of requests for replacements for older style halogen lights. Just putting the answers out here in advance.)
** AND, if you choose to leave the friction fit clips on for a 2-1/8" hole and notch out the hole on two sides across from each other giving space for the friction fit clips to slip through, the entire circumference of the hole does not need to increase in size, just the alignment area of the friction fit clips. This is a viable solution for that popular Hera 2-1/8" dia. hole. Just takes a little work.
When surface mounting, look at the rings, two flanges directed inward on the ring for two screws to hold it in place. Then the light snaps into the surface mount ring and holds very well.
Model 3094 lights are dimmable when used with the Loox5 LED power drivers. 79" lead wire pre-attached to each light. Extension wires are available when a longer reach may be required. The lights have an IP20 water resistance rating.
What do we choose to stock?
The 3094 Loox5 lights were added to our website in May, 2022. We order them as we get requests for them. It generally takes us 2 to 6 days to receive lights from Hafele, depending upon which of their warehouses they ship from. So we can get them rather quickly. When certain finishes and certain kelvin ratings prove more popular, then we will start stocking small to modest quantities for even faster shipments. Direct ships are available too. So we can work with you to accommodate your schedule.

LED Power Drivers and Distributors to use

Ordering Notes
- Select the number of lights that you need for your project.
- For each zone, and by zone, we mean a group of lights controlled together, but potentially not controlled with any other group. Thus, 3 lights to the left of your range hood and 6 lights to the right of your range hood could be considered two zones if you cannot run all the light wires back to one point. You may still turn those 9 lights on and off together. But if you cannot run all wires to one point to run from one power driver, you will split them into zones.
- So for each zone, select the appropriate sized LED power driver. Bigger projects may require multiple drivers.
- Select your distributor or multiple distributors. Note, if using a distributor with a switching port for dimming or other control, it will control the lights leading out of that distributor only. What does that mean? If you connect two distributors in-line on the 40 watt driver because you want to use 12 lights, a dimmer connected into the first distributor IS NOT going to control the lights in the second distributor. So if your intent is to control all 12 lights with one switch, then we suggest that you get one distributor with the switching port, and then use that pigtail distributor coming out of the first distributor. That is nothing more than a port multiplier. Using 2 of those in the first distributor gives you 16 ports. Each adds 6 ports while using one, net gain of 5 ports. Loox5 is just a tiny bit more complicated than the old Loox3 and Loox4 systems. But Loox5 allows you to keep your Loox3 and Loox4 lights lit up should you need a new power driver. A clever system from Hafele.

Light shown with optional surface mount ring. All 5 finishes have the surface mount option. Ring attaches to surface with two screws. Light wire snakes through and the light snaps into the ring. There is a notch in the ring to run the wire straight out the side if you need to. Sometimes you have a pilot hole and feed the wire through the cabinetry. The ring gives you two options for how your wire leads away.
The two friction fit clips on the back of the light for recessed mounting. They are metal, they are attached with one screw each. They can compress from the 2-5/16" to fit a 2-1/4" hole. You can spread them if you happen to have a slightly larger hole. The lights decor ring is 2-9/16", so obviously, your hole must be smaller than that or the light would fall through. But possible to use these lights even in a 2-1/2" hole. It could be done. For new installs, bore a 2-5/16" hole, that is the proper thing to do.
The bronze finish was recently discontinued. Yet as of Dec. 2024, Hafele has thousands in stock still.
All lights are boxed individually and come with a protective piece of rubber film over the lens. Remove that before turning them on, but okay to leave on until your installation is done. May save you a little cleaning time. Also, when hooking up your lights, sending power to the LED driver COMES LAST. Make all your light connections, then plug in the driver LAST. Do not connect lights to a plugged in the wall driver. The arc that happens when inserting the light into a port could damage it.
The surface mount rings, as well as the face decor ring, and the back of the lights are all metal construction. This is a magnet shown holding the white ring up.
When considering under cabinet LED spotlights, the Loox5 3094 are an excellent choice. They are extremely energy efficient, can be purchased individually for any size project, and can be used inside cabinets as well as under cabinets. This is an ideal kitchen cabinet light. As well as for many other areas of the home or commercial spaces.
