LED Lights Surface Mount Rings
Surface mount rings are optional. They are not the same thing as the Trim Ring shown on the LED lights page. The trim ring is the decorative front of the light. The surface mount ring would be the SIDES of the light when opting not to recess mount the light. The light will stick down from the surface approx. .95", thus 1" drop from the surface when assembled: surface mount ring + light + trim ring. On some applications that you cannot drill into, such as thin cabinet bottoms, glass or metal shelves, or when you just want a surface mount light, that is when you would use these rings.
They come in the same five finishes. And these rigns are plastic. On the 3 metalic finishes, you may never tell. Screws go in through the oval holes to hold the rings to the underside of your surface. The light snaps into them. You can run the light wire through a pilot hole in your cabinetry or out the side notch in the surface mount ring. Then to finish off the light, the trim ring magnetically snaps onto the light and you have a completed surface mount light.

About the surface mount rings
- Clicking on the 5 pictures above opens additional views to show the underside of the surface ring, and then the ring and trim ring combination
- When the light is seated in the surface ring, and trim ring is added, you DO NOT see any of the white edge of the light
- Surface rings are 3.15" in overall diameter
- Interior hole opening of ring is 2-1/4", lights snap in with their friction fit clips
- Slotted bottom so light wire can exit to outside of ring if required
- Overall height of ring is 3/4", with light and trim ring inserted, overall height .95" off surface
